This was a very interesting book. The plot was something that I did not expect. It was written from the point of view of an older teenage boy in Britain. He is living with the disappearance of his father years back. He stumbles upon the ashes of an old lady at a cab company and figures out a way to take them home with him after the lady starts to speak with him from the other side. After reading more and more into the book the pieces start to fall together as to why this dead old lady picked him to speak to. In the process he finds out more about his absent father than he expected. He also ends up finding more respect for his mother in the process. I enjoyed the plot and reading this book, but would probably would not have it in my collection. I give this book a 7 on my book scale.
